The company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing of organic chemicals, sulphuric acid and allied products. Business Profile Aarti Industries operates in four business segments viz. basic chemicals, specialty chemicals, agro-chemicals and pharmaceuticals. The company manufactures basic bulk chemicals, dyes and pigment intermediates, pharmaceuticals and agrochemicals along with their intermediates. Company's products in the specialty chemicals segment include alkylated amines and toluidines, chloro phenols, fluoro compounds and others. The company also manufactures rubber chemicals, surfactant intermediates and specialty chemicals. Its product range also includes APIs used in manufacturing cardiovascular, anti-asthma, anti-cancer, antithalassaemia, anti-hypertension and anti-depressant drugs. It also undertakes toll manufacturing of products with applications in specialty segments. |

The company has six manufacturing facilities located at Vapi, Sarigam, and Jhagadia in Gujarat and at Tarapur and Mumbai in Maharashtra. For FY09, the company's annual installed capacity stood at 60,000 MT of nitro chloro benzenes and 200,000 MT of sulphuric acid & allied products. In the international market, the company caters to the manufacturers of dyes, pigments, pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and rubber chemicals in countries like USA, UK, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Japan and Korea among others. In FY09, export contributed around 40% of the company's revenue.
