Section A: Auto Component Industry

46% auto component SMEs expect the industry to grow by more than 20% in the next 5 years

The survey attempted to understand the companies’ views on the growth prospects of the auto components industry and the players were found to be quite optimistic about the same; around 46% of the companies in the cluster projected the industry to grow by more than 20% in the next 5 years.

Future plans

According to the survey results, most respondent companies in the auto components industry are primarily planning to enter new markets, and also to diversify their businesses over the next 5 years.

Section B: Electronic Goods Industry

57% electronic goods SMEs expect the industry to grow by more than 20% in the next 5 years

According to the surveyed companies’ feedback on the industry’s growth prospects under the survey, a majority of the companies (approximately 57%) estimated growth above 20% over the next five years. Among the remaining respondents, 14% of the companies surveyed projected the industry’s growth between 11-20%; 22% expect the industry to grow at less then 10% and 7% of the respondents expect the sector to stagnate.

Future plans

The future plans of the companies operating in the electronic goods industry were similar to those operating in the auto components industry; accordingly, majority of electronic good companies have plans to diversify their businesses in the next 5 years.
