Objective of the Study

The objective of the current project is to study the Pune cluster to develop a one-point reference document that highlights the IT and operational aspects of prominent industries like auto components and electronic goods that are present in the cluster.

Methodology

  1. Desk Research

    2. A detailed review of relevant literature for the Pune cluster was conducted at this stage, which was complemented with a literature review of prominent industries in the cluster.

  2. Questionnaire Development

    3. The desk research and initial interviews of companies were used to construct detailed questionnaires for interviews and a survey focusing on the respective sectors. A survey of SMEs and related associations was then conducted by means of the questionnaire.

  3. Collation of Information

    4. All data and information gathered through surveys, documents gathered from IBM, data gathered from firms, etc was collated to form the database for the cluster.

  4. Analysis of data and information

    5. All information pertaining to financial year 2008-09 was scrutinised and analysed to explore the dynamics of the cluster.

  5. Report Writing

    6. Finally, the analysis, results and key findings were written in the form of the current report.
