Job DescriptionResponsibilities pertaining to nature of involvement at project proposal /execution stage and client engagement will vary with position Project execution •Planning and execution of research projects and liaisoning (limited) with clients for the same •Coordinating among team members to collate information and updates for clients •Organizing and scheduling meetings for various qualitative/quantitative surveys being conducted as part of project execution •Data compilation and checks •Conducting statistical / econometric analysis •Coordinating with the external data collection vendors •Writing the various sections of the draft / final report including preparation of charts/table Business development support •Coordination with the client and the sales resource •Initial secondary research on consulting assignments •Checking data availability for proposed product / industry / market, etc. - detailed checklist of data available and usability of the same for analysis •Preparation of concept note and basic proposals •Coordinating with vendors to get quotations for work proposed to be outsourced •Supporting the Managers with large bids and proposals
Desired Profile•Consulting organizations, research institutes, investment firms and strategy units of manufacturing companies •Multi-sector knowledge and past experience in government/World Bank/ADB/UNCTAD projects is a plus •Computing/database skills: Strong hands-on experience in MS-Office and knowledge of databases published by government/multilateral institution, Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, etc •Good command over English •Knowledge of other Indian languages is a plus •Strong written English communication skills •Ability to engage with different kind of people •Willing and creative enough to provide structure to projects with ambiguous terms of references •Ability to handle pressure and willing to meet tight deadlines
Educational QualificationPost-graduate degree in economics, business administration, finance/commerce, social research or public policy
