Dun & Bradstreet BFSI Summit & Awards 2020

The Indian Banking, Financial services and Insurance (BFSI) sector is playing a critical role in driving the growth of the Indian economy and is considered as the gateway for reaching the US$ 5 trillion economy in the coming years. We are currently witnessing a very dynamic environment in this sector in terms of innovation, high competition, emergence of Fintech players, consolidation and increasing use of alternative multiple channels, to cite a few. The Government and regulators are taking strong measures to strengthen the sector through favorable policies, the creation of new type of banks to promote financial inclusion, relaxation of FDI norms, etc.

To acknowledge the growing importance of this key sector, Dun & Bradstreet ‘BFSI Summit & Awards 2020’ is scheduled to take place in February 2020 in Mumbai. The event will be attended by CMDs/CEOs/CTOs/EDs/Business Heads and other senior management personnel from the BFSI sector, leaders from other corporate sectors, senior officials from the government ministries and policy makers among others.

The main highlights of the event are the Company Performance Awards and the Banking Technology Awards. The event will also feature the release of the 12th edition of the publication ‘India's Leading BFSI Companies 2020’. Furthermore, there will also be keynote addresses by key dignitaries and financial sector leaders and a panel discussion providing deeper insights into the current and future trends of the sector.

Eligibility Criteria for Nominations

Players from the Indian BFSI sector (as per the following segments) with an annual total income of Rs. 25 crore and above on a standalone basis during FY19 are eligible to nominate themselves. This would include: -

Banks (Scheduled Commercial Banks, Payment Banks and Small Finance Banks)

Life and non-life insurance companies (as specified by IRDA)

Financial Services falling under NIC Codes 64, 65 & 66

Note: All scheduled commercial banks based on the RBI enumeration of SCBs as on Mar 2019 meeting our eligibility criteria of total income will be profiled in the publication based on the data available in public domain.

Awards Categories

Dun & Bradstreet will be felicitating the top companies of the BFSI sector through these awards.
A total of nearly 20 awards are broadly classified into two types –

Company Performance Awards (Around 10 awards)

  • Banks (Public, Private and Foreign)
  • Insurance Companies (Life, General and Health)
  • Housing Finance Companies
  • NBFCs (other than housing finance companies)

Dun & Bradstreet’s analyst team identifies financial parameters pertinent to each category for analyzing the performance and runs it into a proprietary financial model developed in-house. This model helps in identifying the top performers in each category. Winners are then chosen on the basis of a composite score in each category.

Key Instructions

Completed Nomination forms, along with all supporting documents (mandatory and additional) should be submitted to the BFSI Awards Nomination Center, either physically or via email (details given at the end of the nomination form) before the stipulated deadline.

The Mandatory Declaration at the end of the nomination form needs to be signed and stamped before sending the nomination form.

Annual Reports/Financial statements (standalone basis) for FY19 and FY18 are mandatory to be sent along with the nomination form.

There is NO PARTICIPATION FEE for the awards.

Best Practices for Filing Nomination Forms

Submission of all mandatory documents:

Completed nomination form duly signed and stamped

Annual reports / financial statements / audited financial results for FY19 and FY18

Providing additional information and documents:

Companies are also welcome to share additional information such as company presentations, quality certifications, testimonials, news articles, or any other documentation/literature that could lend more credibility to the nomination.

It also lists and profiles the leading companies in the sector, including Banks (SCBs, Payment Banks and Small Finance Banks), NBFCs, Insurance Companies AMCs and Equity Broking Houses. Furthermore, it features the views of thought leaders on the current status of the Indian BFSI sector and its future outlook.

‘India’s Leading BFSI Companies 2020’, the twelfth edition in the series, will be circulated among key executives and directors of leading Indian companies and multinationals, in India and globally. It will also be distributed to key stakeholders in the Indian financial sector, Government Ministries, trade promotion councils, foreign embassies, management consultants and leading educational institutions, among others. It will be made available in print as well as digital formats.
