The Indian banking sector is undergoing a massive transformation and technology is playing a key role in it. The emergence of FinTech companies and new age technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, machine learning and robotic process automation, to name a few, are changing the face of banking rapidly. In this digital ecosystem it becomes increasing important for banks to undertake key initiatives that include improve productivity and efficiency, increase revenue and make optimum use of the core banking systems, through the best use of the right technology at the right time.

Some banks have already taken a step in this direction and are path setters.

We, at Dun & Bradstreet, believe that it is time to recognize such banks who have managed to implement new technologies and taken the business to the next level through a new flagship property ‘BankTech Awards 2019’.

Eligibility Criteria

Institutes should be classified as

Scheduled Commercial Banks (Public, Private, Foreign)

Payment Banks

Small Finance Banks

Co-operative Banks

Institutions should be licensed by the RBI (Reserve Bank of India) and should be operational as on Aug 31, 2019

Payment banks and small finance banks should have at least two years of operations

Key Instructions

Which are the mandatory documents?

Completed nomination form along with supporting literature for each case study and Annual reports for FY18 and FY19

To strengthen your case banks are encouraged to share additional information such as technology specific presentations, testimonials etc. and business jutification, revenue and operational impact etc that would lend more credibility to their nomination

Is there a Nomination Fee?

No Participating Fee

How many nominations are allowed?

Multiple nominations across different award categories allowed

How many case studies can be submitted?

Separate case study for each award category to be submitted

What about data privacy?

Case study details to be kept confidential

Methodology

Reaching Out - A self-nomination process wherein Dun & Bradstreet will send across a detailed nomination form to scheduled commercial banks (public, private and foreign), small finance banks, payment banks and co-operative banks

Responses - Banks will need to respond with the completed nomination form along with supporting documents / literature relevant to their case study

Shortlisting – Through a rigorous screening process, Dun & Bradstreet will shortlist banks in each award category, based on information provided by them about the technology and its impact on the business in the case study

Esteemed Jury Panel - The shortlisted banks in each category will be presented to an esteemed jury panel from the banking and technology domains who will decide the award winners based on a combination of financial parameters and the technology initiatives submitted by the banks
