SME Business Excellence Awards 2019 10 Years of ‘X’cellence
The year 2019 was truly a momentous year for the Indian economy. With the Narendra Modi-led Government taking charge of its second stint at the Centre, India clearly has its vision set on becoming a US$ 5 trillion economy over the next 5 years. The new government in its first budget lays down a 10-point roadmap for achieving its vision, which includes a renewed thrust on the growth of the MSME sector.
The year 2019 also marked the 10th Anniversary of the most successful SME platform in India - Dun & Bradstreet’s SME Business Excellence Awards. In view of this, Dun & Bradstreet joined hands with RBL Bank Limited for the fourth successive year for SME Business Excellence Awards 2019. In keeping with the significant developments during the year, the theme of 2019 year’s event was ‘In Pursuit of a US$ 5 Trillion Indian Economy: Five Accelerators for SMEs’.
Dun & Bradstreet – RBL Bank SME Business Excellence Awards 2019 took place on 20th November 2019 in New Delhi. Shri Pratap Chandra Sarangi, Honourable Minister of State, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Government of India graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and provided great insights on the development of the sector. The event was graced by senior officials from the MSME Ministry, government institutions, senior representatives from SMEs, banks, financial institutions and tech companies. Besides the presentation of Awards and the celebration of the milestone year, the event also highlighted the key focus areas envisioning the role of SMEs in a US$ 5 trillion economy.
